Meet our Veterinarians!
Your pet will receive outstanding veterinary medical care at Lakewood Animal Health Center. The four veterinarians take a team-oriented approach to each patient. The veterinarians work a three to four day shift that allows them a positive life balance. Each doctor approaches each patient with fresh enthusiasm and concern. During necessary hospitalization of a patient, two doctors will collaborate regarding diagnosis, treatment, and the best care options. The doctors love what they do and it is reflected in every relationship…patient-veterinarian-owner-family.

Dr. Julie Dyer received her veterinary medical training at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She practiced veterinary medicine in Blue Springs for 5 years before opening Lakewood Animal Health Center in the fall of 1994. Dr. Dyer is a member of the AVMA, MVMA, and KCVMA. She enjoys most watching puppies and kittens grow into lifelong companions and assisting their families in providing optimum health care. She has a special interest in ultrasound diagnostics, endocrine disease, and orthopedic injuries.

Dr. Dyer, her husband, and two boys reside in the Lakewood community. Dr. Dyer enjoys horseback riding, camping, jogging, and cooking. Her family is active in church and student ministry. When life gets too hectic, collapsing on the couch always works.

Dr. Sarah Golladay received her undergraduate and veterinary medical training at Kansas State University. Since graduation in 2000, Dr. Golladay has spent 3 years in emergency medicine and 10 years in general practice. She recently became the newest partner at Lakewood Animal Health Center.

Dr. Golladay enjoys forming lasting relationships with clients and their pets. She values a team approach working with Owners to provide the most compassionate care possible for their 4 legged family members. She has a special interest in internal medicine, dermatology, and feline specific medical needs.

Outside of the office, Dr. Golladay spends her time with her husband and their 2 sons. They share their home with 2 dogs, 1 cat, and a frog.

Dr. Andrea Eyler is a graduate of Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation in 2011, she practiced veterinary medicine in Minnesota for 4 years and then 2 years in the Kansas City area. Dr. Eyler strives to provide excellent patient care with an emphasis on empathy and client education. She has a special interest in wellness and preventive care as well as feline medicine and surgery. She is dedicated to elevating feline care and enjoys the unique needs of cats and their people.

Dr. Eyler, her husband, and daughter share their home with Emma, an energetic Golden retriever, and Edie, a cat who knows her family is blessed to have her.
Dr. Shana Stelzer graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. She worked as an associate veterinarian in Kansas City after graduation for 5 years before transitioning to relief practice. She worked as a relief veterinarian in the Greater Kansas City Metro for 7 years. Dr. Stelzer is excited to be part of the Lakewood team, where she has been privileged to work during her time as a relief veterinarian. She is a member of the AVMA and KCVMA. Dr. Stelzer practices compassionate, caring veterinary medicine. She enjoys building relationships with her clients and their pets, and appreciates the bond they share. Dr. Stelzer has a special interest in dermatology, dentistry, and soft-tissue surgery.

Dr. Stelzer lives in Shawnee with her husband, 3 children, and very spoiled golden retriever. She enjoys relaxing at the lake, water skiing, scuba diving, and reading. She also enjoys cheering her children on in their various activities. Her family is also involved with many ministries, including children’s ministry and worship life at her church
